WATER is source of life but is everyday more SCARCE AND PRECIOUS. This is why the acts and the rules pertaining to its redistribution , the so-called “global water policies”, are the main objective of the world’s biggest powers that meet every three years during the so-called “WORLD WATER FORUM”. Last World Water Forum was held in Istanbul in March 2009.
And is indeed in Istanbul that, after Mexico City in 2006, met the INTERNATIONAL MOVEMENT OF ACTIVISTS FIGHTING AGAINST WATER PRIVATIZATION, considered as a common good. They reaffirmed that only through an equal, controlled and participated management of water by the communities and the people, that means a FULL PUBLIC MANAGEMENT, this basic right can be granted to all humanity, avoiding wars, hungers and millions of deaths all over the world.
Document the events of the Turkish spring is a fundamental step to promote and understand where OUR WORLD is heading and be able to start fighting the neo-liberal suicide of the humanity.
